The Institute conducted exhaustive research on virtual voting systems available on the market that would satisfy the desired high standards of trustworthiness, neutrality, transparency, information security and technical quality. Above all, there was a need to ensure an autonomous process, guaranteeing the secrecy of the vote, as established in Article 106 of the Rules of Procedure of the IABA, as well as Articles 82 and 83 of the Rules of Procedure of the Executive Committee.
EVoting provides a platform specifically designed for voting, which has been used in conferences and in meetings of shareholders, boards of directors and cooperatives. It has been used by various types of entities: educational institutions, trade unions, companies and government boards, both to elect individuals and for decision-making.
EVoting was established more than 7 years ago and currently operates in 7 IICA member countries: Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, Guatemala, Peru y Panama.
